Meet Our Expert Healthcare Advocacy Team

At IKOR of Eastern Pennsylvania, we simplify and manage the complexities of life, so our clients can focus on the people and activities they enjoy, with greater peace of mind.  Our client-centered approach goes beyond traditional case management, as we approach our clients with a comprehensive assessment and planning process. Our care management and healthcare advocacy services are performed by Registered Nurses, uniquely qualified to support seniors and disabled people with the care management they need. Complementing this team are financial professionals and our Client Support Specialists, who address life management and financial needs, ranging from power of attorney services to simple bill pay and personal needs coordination. Our experienced life care management team can help manage the healthcare, financial and personal aspects of one’s life.

IKOR’s Leadership Team

Dennis Mahoney, NCG, CSA

President and Managing Director, IKOR of Eastern PA

Following a professional business career of 30+ years in life sciences and managed care, Dennis opened IKOR of Eastern PA in 2010. Compelled by the desire to take the lessons he learned in corporate business development and leadership and put them to use for a greater good, Dennis embarked on this new career, dedicated to helping aging and disabled individuals by presenting them with real solutions for understanding and navigating the challenges they face in living their best lives.

In his role with IKOR, Dennis provides strategic oversight for the business and manages the Power of Attorney, Guardianship and Trust services IKOR performs for their clients. Dennis is committed to making a difference by working each day to improve the lives of our clients and their families. Dennis holds NCG and CSA designations and earned his BS from College of the Holy Cross and MBA from Boston College. Originally from the Boston, MA area, Dennis resides in Chester County, PA.

Theresa M. Kuhar, BSN, RN, CCM

Director of Clinical Operations, IKOR of Eastern PA

Theresa Kuhar is a Registered Nurse and board-certified Case Manager. She is the Director of Clinical Operations with IKOR of Eastern Pennsylvania, and her work allows her to serve seniors and families of special needs individuals as a life care manager, power of attorney, and guardian. In her role, Theresa oversees the daily operations of IKOR’s team of RN Life Care Managers and provides direct care management services for individuals and their families. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude, from Holy Family University School of Nursing in 2001 and was inducted into the international nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau, prior to graduation. 

Theresa earned her certification in Case Management from the Commission for Case Management in 2021 and is an Advanced Professional Member of the Aging Life Care Association.  She is the secretary of Philadelphia Northeast Lions Club and serves as 2nd Vice District Governor of District 14-A of Lions Club International. Theresa and her husband have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. In her free time, Theresa enjoys camping, kayaking, cycling and all things outdoors.

Registered Nurse Life Care Managers

Our Registered Nurse Life Care Managers are highly experienced medical professionals with specialized training in patient advocacy. They help IKOR clients and their families navigate the complex and fragmented healthcare system and serve as a centralized coordinator and communicator for all related healthcare-related needs. From accompanying patients to doctor’s visits, filling medications, in-person wellbeing visits to showing up for a medical crisis and through executing Healthcare Power of Attorney services, IKOR RN Life Care Managers are trusted, qualified and compassionate life care partners.

Client Support Specialists

Our Client Support Specialists are experienced business professionals who provide planning, oversight, and implementation of the aspects of IKOR’s life care plans focused outside of our client’s healthcare needs. IKOR Client Support Specialists are there to support our client’s important life challenges, both big and small. They act as an independent, objective party and perform a wide range of general life tasks such as: managing home repairs, organizing homes, automating simple bill pay, coordinating with Financial Advisors and Trusts and through financial Power of Attorney services.
